"The weather forecast might be frightening,
But the company is always enlightening,
Why not come out for a blow?
Let's go, let's go, let's go!"

And good luck to everyone at Magor Marsh.
We'll see you all next week - bring your medals with you!

I'm planning to be there. Will do the run up to Castell Coch and back and depending on how I feel may add some extra distance back in Bute Park. Will be running at 8:30-9:00 min/mile.

Thanks to everyone for a stunning show of defiance against the elements.
The car park was noticeably empty. Not sure if the junior parkrunners are lacking in moral fibre, or their parents are. On the other hand, you could say they had more sense.
My theory of "running in a vest and shorts whatever the elements so long as you're running fast enough to maintain body heat" was given a thorough examination. The problem was, the longer we were out, the heavier the rain got. I did think of you all at Magor Marsh, but not too much! Well done all.
Back to normality next week, hopefully.

Whilst not up to sunny weather standards 61 junior runners (and parents) braved the elements this morning.. I think it was the dog walkers and cyclists missing Mick.

The Sunday run would not be the same without a flood or two, Mick . Think we are used to it now. Magor was soggy too but probably more sensible than a longer run on a day like today!

Was vest and shorts theory correct? Of course! You have to think positive.
Maria was positive enough to leave her hat and gloves at home. Thank you Maria (and Phil and Neema) for dragging me round. It was one of those days when you really needed your team mates. A bit like Chris Froome.

Think the vest and shorts theory was well and truly discredited at Brecon Gwent League 2014.
