Ai-Lin Kee I will be going up the Sunday before (21st) to recce part of the route, not so much running as looking. You are welcome as is anyone else who would like to come.

And what sort of distance are you going on for this recce and are you doing it in the day or night?

Roy, sounds good. Happy to come along and see how we go. I might not be able match your version of 'slowish pace'. If we could meet at start point then should I get wobbly, I can head back where we started and you can proceed on with your jaunt. I look forward to it.

It certainly was a interesting night; high winds and driving rain made sure you were wet very quickly. The need to stay warm was paramount, so constant forward momentum was the order of the night. Once you stopped you very soon got cold.
West, South Westerly meant wind in your face for most of the race except when going across the moorland where the wind was behind you and kept blowing you over - falling 3 times in this section alone.
Glad to arrive at the 4th and last checkpoint with just a 3 mile run down hill through the woods ( with its many tracks waiting to trick you into going the wrong way), into Talybont village and with a glass of wine waiting.
