A few of us were talking last night about the next social gathering.

With the World half 2 weeks away it would be rude not to mark the occasion. I think the usual place for post-event drinks is the Gatekeeper, so how about we plan to meet there at 6.30pm? If people are keen we could try to grab some food a bit later, either there or elsewhere (but would need to book tables). Somewhere like Pizza Express or Zizzi's might be the best option as they are good for large parties & you can book up to 15 people online without a deposit.

Let me know if you're game & if you're up for going for food & I'll try to sort something out.

Perhaps we can invite Mo along...anyone got his number??

If people are game for this, (I am but I might be arriving a bit later!), then I'll put it up under socials on the website.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

Great idea Janet. I was thinking it would be a good opportunity to go out too seeing as the race is on the Saturday (and it's also the Easter weekend) but have been far less organised than you in actually trying to arrange something. Please count me in for food. I'm happy to go with the flow.

I'm happy to go for food. I should be free of my volunteering duties by then.

I've just called The Gatekeeper and they are serving food up until 11pm that evening. As I'm guessing people will be coming and going, perhaps the best plan would be to grab something there, for those that want to eat. The menu is quite varied and they do snacks and nibbles as well as meals.

If anyone is against this then let me know, I'm happy to go with the majority :-)

Thanks Janet for checking out the options, I'm also happy to go with the flow just so long as food and beer are involved, obviously not in that order...

Thanks for organising, Janet. I'd actually prefer food before beer, as past experiences at London have led to friends posting photos of me asleep in the Old Shades.
