Have many entered this? I've not done it before so tempted...though the 1pm start could be interesting... |

Like Swansea, and use to do it lots for the banter, but always found the course a bit dull, and often breezy. Seeing the finish area in the far off distance at the halfway turn also mind-blowingly dispiriting for plodders like me - 5k is a long long way away when visible to the naked eye...
More positively, 1:00pm start the perfect excuse to sleep late (ish*) on a Sunday and avoid weekend domestic duties

*"-ish" as the traffic into SA1 can be manic..

Will give it a go - the dull, breezy course doesn't sound appealing but the lie in does :-)
Entries close today folks - get them in!

I don't think it's dull, and it's a flat and fast course Janet, you'll do well. Straight out, turn, straight back. Yes it can be windy on the way back, and there will be a bit of sand here and there on the path. Decent goodie bag, which can be quite diverse (from shampoo to bread). Parking is a nightmare though so it's advised to get there early. Part of this course is also used for the Swansea Bay parkrun (start/finish at 360 beachsports centre, which has an excellent café). Definitely recommend Swansea 10K. |

Few of us car-shared last year, and if I remember, Luke parked in the civic centre (opp the prison).. plenty of space as we got there 90 mins before the start. This year I'll be even earlier as my son has entered the 3k at 11:15. Unless you're speedy, prepare for tshirt scrummage at the finish. |

Good conditions, if a little busy. LC well represented. Provisional times available. Club Championship Competition - fierce in the M60+.http://www.swanseabay10k...wansea10K-2016-ProvA.pdf |
