How does it work on the night? I have never done one of these. When would I have to be there - and how many events would I do etc? Is it fun or a bit scary?
Thanks
Ali

Glad to hear that you are interested, Ali.

In the past, all you have to do is turn up at about 6-6:15pm at the venue, register and pay your entry fee. It's cheaper if you are a member of Welsh Masters but if not, you pay the guest fee. I haven't checked the precise details yet but you can take part/compete in any event e.g. 200m/pole vault... whichever event you're happy trying. There is a word of caution, like any event e.g. cross country, off road, road running .... they all come with a risk.

The evening is light hearted/serious depending on your goals but there's nothing like the roar of the crowd in the finishing straight... Ask Mel, Oli, Tracey, ..

I'm sure that you will enjoy it and we're (Les Croupiers RC) always eager to enter at least one team in the final event - the relay.

Ali, the first and last rule is enjoy it. Give it a go. Try different things. Don't be overly ambitious. It's meant to be fun and it is.

The joy(?) of hammer throwing, javelin, discus, and triple jumping have all been revealed on track and field nights. Great fun, and always someone around to give you a quick coaching lesson if required. The running is optional!
