As a post script to the above, those at Cardiff parkrun today will know that Charlotte Arter attempted to better her global parkrun record of 15:50 (set on 5 January).
It didn't quite happen, she ran 15:56, though the TV cameras were there to witness it.
It wasn't all bad news for Charlotte though, as at Long Eaton parkrun this morning Jessisa Piasecki (Stockport) ran 15:51 - one second outside the record.
And according to the global site, the top 16 age grades this morning were all recorded by ladies!
Come on fellas, where are you?

Some stats just for interest (from www.arrs.run) for Angharad Mair.
Angharad has been with us in two spells, but to the best of my knowledge, only the 2015 10 km road mark was for Les Croups, the rest were all for Newport. Her 5000 metres best was achieved in winning the Welsh 5000 metres championship in Cwmbran in 1997.
RD 5 km 16:50 Mountain Ash WAL 31 Dec 1996 
RD 10 km 38:02 Swansea WAL 20 Sep 2015 
RD 10 mi 55:16 Dolgellau WAL 26 Jul 1997 
RD Half Mara 1:14:01 Glasgow SCO 23 Aug 1998 
RD Marathon 2:38:47 Reykjavik ISL 18 Aug 1996 
OT 5 km 16:40.22 Cwmbran WAL 21 Jun 1997 
OT 10 km 34:11.76 Birmingham ENG 14 Jun 1996
Different athletes from different eras definitely creates interest.
After all, there's no one else from Croups, past or present, for Tamara to chase!
