For those of you who are looking for distractions/entertainment when not running, I stumbled upon the following radio documentary series that started broadcasting on BBC Radio 4 today.

Summary from the BBC website- "Bloodsport is the story of the systematic doping of the 2012 and 2014 Olympics by the Russian state, its subsequent unmasking and the ongoing fall out amidst the power play of nation against nation. The Evening Standard's sports correspondent Matt Majendie tells the whole story from 2012 till now."

There are lots of nice interviews with current/recent top-level athletes!

It's freely accessible on the BBC Sounds and Radio 4 websites (a login is required) as a podcast.
Those of you with smart speakers may be able to navigate to the source by the power of voice!
The podcast version allows you to listen to further episodes in advance although there are only 6 are available so far.

Please share with anyone who you think might be interested.
Also, as we're formally recognised as a sports club of inclusivity, I would really encourage us to think about sharing relevant radio broadcasts or podcasts with anyone friends/family who are blind or partially-sighted. This form of media remains more readily accessible to them when a lot of visual arts and journalism isn't always.
This is especially present in my mind today, as the RNIB started a campaign focusing on the extra challenges brought by from (necessary) social/physical distancing for those who are affected by sight loss #WorldUpsideDown.

The 2nd half (next 5 of 10 episodes) of this radio 4 documentary is now available for anyone interested via the same link

It's easiest to listen to by using the 'omnimbus' 1 or 2 versions if you have an hour free for each!

For anyone who may be interested

BBC Panorama - tonight at 20.30 on BBC Wales - is presented by Cardiff's own Colin Jackson

Tonight's episode is called:

Sport's Hidden Crisis

regarding eating disorders in sport.
It's always a tricky discussion but nevertheless important for safeguarding in sports clubs, which we are all be responsible for.
