I thought I would just give an explanation of the Cross Country Championships on the website which particularly affects those men over the age of 65 and therefore lucky enough to run the shorter distance. For the Club Championships we have to make up results for these runners as if they ran the same distance as the rest of the men under 65. This is so that we're comparing like-for-like. In the V60 category, for instance, we will have those aged 60 to 64 running a longer distance than those aged 65-69. To do this I have taken the V65 results from the recent virtual races and applied a formula to create results for the V65+ runners and have then added these results into the senior men's results.

Those V65+ runners, please don't be alarmed if you suddenly see yourself in races you think you didn't do! We had always adopted this approach as Jeff Aston used to manufacture times for the older runners and insert into the Gwent League results for our Club Champs purposes.

Please also note that the Club Championship section of the website can only ever be really considered as a guide. For example, it doesn't take into account that an individual can only win one award. If an older runner wins a younger category, e.g. the outright senior man winner is a V50 then the website still includes them if you filter by age category.
