Is my UK Athletics number the same as my Welsh Athletics registration number?

Hello,
I'd like to enter a race and would prefer to pay the lower amount because I have a current Welsh Athletics membership number. However, the race entry form gives me the option of enetering a "BTF" number or a "UK Athletics" number.
Is my Welsh Athletics registration number also my UK Athletics number?
And can anyone tell me what a BTF number is, please?

Hi Michael,
In my limited experience I have always used my Welsh Athletics Number where it asks for the UK Athletics number.
No idea what the BTF number is sorry.

Hi Michael
From memory Wales were ahead of the game on this one and we had registration numbers before the rest of the UK.
Welsh Athletics tend to send a letter confirming your registration number (roughly) each May.
It's a 7 digit number. This should be sufficient.

Thank you for the helpful replies. The on-line system accepted the Welsh Athletics number, so fingers crossed.
And my running, swimming and cycling are more "WTF" than "BTF", so I don't think I'll be entering any triathlons in the near future.
