I was looking to enter Stroud half marathon (as I'm not able to do Cardiff) and was wondering if anyone had done it before and knew what the course was like. The organisers reckon its a quick course but it looks a bit hilly to me.
Thanks

It is undulating, not hilly. It is my pb course. Always well organised and friendly.

I agree with what has already been said. We did this as a club trip a few years back and it proved very popular.
Would certainly recommend it and I would run it again.
Besides, Stroud & District are our mates from the Castles.

I remember driving through Stroud and thinking it looked very picturesque so I'm guessing its quite a pretty Half.

Always thought it was hilly but if the ups balance the downs it could be pretty good.

I did it years ago and from what I remember it was a good course. Maybe we could do a club trip next year if it doesn't clash with anything.

Thanks all, sounds like a good one. Hopefully will be a PB course for me too.

Caitlin, the person to ask about Stroud is Paul Morris as it is his "home" half and as far as I can tell one he does on a regular basis.

He is coming back from an injury so is not always running on a Thursday but usually turns up in the bar after we get back!
