Les Croupiers Running Club Forum

For all Snowdon marathon runners, please see the e-mail request (copied below) and attached document regarding a study at Bangor University:-



I am aware that some of the runners from this club recently took part in the Snowdon Marathon and was wondering if those that took part would be interested in participating in a current World leading research study by the Institute of Sport Psychology at Bangor University, that will hopefully be published within a Sports Psychology Journal within the near future.


It would involve completing a short questionnaire that should take no more than 5 minutes to complete, which looks at the psychological motives of participating in Marathon running and in return for your time in participating within the study, the runners will be entered into a prize draw to win £50 and they will also receive results from the study that may aid future training, also all running clubs that participate within the study will be gratefully acknowledged within the study and Research Journal.

I have attached a copy of the questionnaire to this email which also includes an informed consent sheet and an information sheet, I would be very grateful if you could share this with your runners at your club, also if there is anyone that would prefer a printed copy I will be able to send this to them individually and will pay for the postage on its return,

That's because I couldn't add an attachment until I'd clicked 'post' and then found that as our new p.c. doesn't have Microsoft office on it, I couldn't down convert the .docx document to a .doc or pdf (the forum wouldn't accept the original format) so I'll have to down convert it on Monday.
