Looking at the weather forecast it might be icy. Is there a yellow grit box anywhere near the section on Cathedral Road and Cardiff Road?

So people may be anxiously looking at the weather for the weekend. Please remember a 78 year old legend (Errol) will be starting alone at 8.01 AM. The next runner will be a long way back, so he's likely to be on his own a long time. And no doubt, the weather will be at its coldest early. The forecast currently says 5 degrees and sunny by midday (its coming from Barry). So no runner has any excuse about the weather, or lack of company. The volunteers are the real heroes anyway. Thanks to each and every one of you!

So now the big questions.. - "who's your nemesis?" (I'll sleep better Saturday knowing the Scholey Machine starts a minute ahead, and not a minute behind..) - self prediction? I'll be chuffed with 1:18 (only two minutes behind schedule..) - ethics; do I offer Mike Davies a black jelly baby as he flies past? Thanks Jeff and all the stalwart volunteers Edited by user 29 January 2015 12:19:39(UTC)

Have a good run all. Worst. Excuse. Ever. Just because you won't run it as quick as you would like doesn't mean you can't run it at all. If I see you doing the club 7 or 10 tonight I shall be disappointed!

Thanks to each and every one of you! I'm not worried about the cold Mick. Layers can solve that problem and thanks to the volunteers in advance for layering up and gettimg out there. The ice could be a hazard for all runners from Errol to Oli and Ed. A hazard to avoid. Maybe Jeff can take a minute off everyone's finish time if there is alot of ice?

In 1985 there was an inch (2.5cm for the youngsters) of snow overnight. But we still all took part - and yes times were slower (about 2 minutes). We were glad to have competed though!

With all the moans from start time to the weather I beginning to wonder what sort of club I belong to? I throught we were a proper hard club not a cissy la la la club! Besides runners wll decide for themselves if they want to take part or not, anyway I always found my finished time for the handicape abit slower then the Castle Time trail whatever the weather.

The colder, the better. Bring it on! My creaky old knees can be iced while I'm still running.

I'd probably be moaning (well I actually would) if a heatwave was promised! I don't mind this weather at all but I would be a bit wary if there were some icey patches!

I am irritatingly ill. I did go and jog around Radyr Woods, which was neither big nor clever. If I effect a miraculous recovery, I will be there in the morning, but I suspect that I will be defeated. Good luck to all running, and still hoping I just might make it.
