You should all now be aware of and familiar with the set up on a Thursday night. We are trying to put group leaders out each Thursday covering the 5 mile route and the 7 mile route.

We have a core of Leaders that we have started off with, but in order to spread the load and make sure we can cover each run each week I'm asking if there is any other member of the Club interested in getting involved on a Thursday night? The idea is that we have enough cover so that it isn't the same people each week.

I'm looking for people to help out with all the groups involved ~ 5 mile ; 7 mile @ 7 min/mile ; 7 mile @ 8 min/mile ; 7 mile @ 9 min/mile and 7 mile @ 10 min/mile.

The 10 mile is harder to cater for as it tends to be a smaller group over a larger range, so unless there is enough interest coming forward this will remain "leaderless" Blushing

If you are interested come and see me on a Thursday night and I can explain what is entailed, but don't be scared it is nothing complicated, more a case of being able to run at a fairly even pace around the Club routes, and keeping an eye on the group you have around you.

The one group that we are shortest of leaders on is the 7 min/mile group, so please do come forward.

Thanks

Phil

Phil, I'd be keen to get involved in this. I'd realistically need to do the 9 or 10 min/mile groups (unless you ever want to introduce an 8.5 min/mile group!). When the opportunity presents itself for me to do the 10 mile, usually during school holidays, I could do that as well, like last week.

Before you introduced the organised groups I had shown some newer members around the 7 mile routes anyway. I'm also pretty consistent with my pacing.

Thanks,

Paul

Phil, as per my FB reply:

Phil, I can help out with the 7@8 min/mile or slower and I intend to start doing 10@8 min/mile as well so if anyone wants to do that regularly I will give that a bash.

As per my FB reply, I am only looking to do the 5 miler at around 9 min/mile for the next couple of months. Better not rely on me this week as knee is playing up!

I will be able to help out after the 4th of April as I will have my evenings back! BigGrin

I can then cover 7 minute miles over any of the distances.I was planing on visiting the club regularly anyway. You don't know what you have got till its gone. I have already opted out of Sundays so I can now enjoy the very much needed long runs.Smile

I could be available way before the 4th thats just worst case scenario!
