Hi, After quite a few years and a few injury set backs I decided to have a dabble at the xc . Heavy rain ankle deep mud and a lovely long hill x4 = time to hang up my trail shoes !!! Only joking (I think ). Now that's what I call a cross country course ! Many thanks for all the support from les croups ladies, especially Julie Scholey who gave me a `report` on the city v Chelsea match while jogging alongside me. you would have been able to WALK with me up the hill lol !! Respect to all the marshals and time keepers etc and our guys involved with the tent. I must say not many of us blokes ventured out(including me) in the heavy rain to support our Ladies , shame!! Thanks to Mike Davies with Terry and Andrew for the lift, it would have been the pub and football otherwise.. IF I survive my mates wedding party I hope to make the Newbridge Fields x/c , and hopefully grab some cake!!

Glad that you enjoyed your return to the muddy stuff, Steve. The ladies certainly took the medal on Saturday.
