You know it makes sense. Doesn't matter whether you're doing a Spring Marathon or not, nice choice of distances (as previous) in inspiring company.

Having never been on a club training session please excuse my ignorance.
I am looking for a training partner/s for my long runs on Sundays, pace 9 min a mile, no faster nor slower, is there anyone who is training for a marathon at this pace and would like some company.

I cant make it Sunday unfortunately because of work.Due to a spell of illness I have done very little training in the last week and a half. I hope im in reasonable shape by the time the next one comes around.

Really disappointed to miss the Old Father Time Race, some amazing performances! James Bruce, Dave Coles,David Proud and Mick to name but four. Great running!

Its really inspired me to try and push my foot back onto the gas as soon as I possibly can! Smile

Roy - there is no specific pace set but the more people who come along to this run, the more chance there is of having someone at your pace. This is where it also helps if those coming along can post here, to give an idea of similar paced runners. Hopefully you can come along tomorrow and find out for yourself!

I plan to be there, although I will more than likely join the group at Hayley Park.

Felt a million times better in training than my last effort today!

Gone from -100% fit to 80% fit! A good minute a mile quicker off of the same effort! So pleased to be well on the mend!

Looks like I will definitely be fit for the long run next week.BigGrin

Thanks everyone. Really enjoyable run this morning - at least it was dry and a nice temperature for endurance. As a quick heads up for next weekend - a number of our regulars will be doing a Running Leadership course on Sunday (11th) in an attempt to control the rest of you! So I fancy a Saturday long run from Café Castan instead - at 9.30 AM. Although this has the potential to split the group (for this weekend only) there are now enough of us to have two endurance sessions - which will give everyone a choice, and in the case of a few hardy souls, an opportunity to do back to back long runs. What more could you ask for?

Hoped to join you for my first Croups Sunday run this morning but the remains of a cold is still lingering and was a bit worried about not being able to breathe let alone keep up! Did a shorter one and breathing was okish so hope to be there next weekend ThumpUp

Great to seen so many faces, old and new (Mike M off his sick bed, Dave W on a club run!, Davey fresh off great run in Nos Galan. Started with no fixed plan, felt reasonably good so decided to tackle the Coq du nord. Had forgotten how hard it was so decided (particularly as I'd witnessed a heart attack in Hilly Fields parkrun on New Year's day - OhMyGod ) that discretion was better part of valour and cut across trail along top of Castell Coch with Neema, Getting and Marcus. Got dropped when James joined in however pleased with run overall. Here's the route: http://connect.garmin.com/course/8621214

Mick, I will be parkrunning (helping to get the pacers together), so, all being well, will join the long run as it crosses the bridge and drops onto the Taff Trail. Tim
