Sunday morning, unless you're running the Welsh XC at Singleton Park, you've absolutely no excuse not to be there.
Or post your intentions for that matter.........

I hope to be there and "plan" to do about 17 miles between 8.30 - 9 pace but will go my own way at the Black Cock to head home to Llanishen.

Anyone else fancy divulging their training intentions for tomorrow, or is a secret?

Can't make this for the next three weeks, as I've got races tomorrow and next week, and the following week unfortunately have to do my long run on the Saturday.

Have been bunged up with a heavy cold (first in years) and have missed last few days so only 50:50 for tomorrow. Will also be away next weekend.

Well it's a damp miserable day, but I didn't notice. Must be the company I keep. A special thank you to Yvonne Bullen, that was lovely. I know a lot of you couldn't make it, so a special word of congratulations to everyone who competed at Singleton Park yesterday. My love/hate affair with Singleton Park goes back to 1966,Barry Boys Comprehensive versus Bishop Gore. Bishop Gore were the schools champions of Glamorgan and always tough to beat. A great course in the dry, and a nightmare in the wet. Congratulations to you all, you did the club proud. Next week is the final round of the Gwent League, so good luck to everyone there. I'll be doing the same 12 as today, kicking off at 9.30, and it would be great to see as many of you there as possible, not forgetting that this is the club forum and is for everyone to use. I'll keep encouraging you until the penny drops. It's a bit like advising people about parkrun. Don't get me started................

I am disapointed to have missed what was such an amazing day yesterday but am so thrilled that we did so well!

I have been digging really deep the last 6 months and am now as fit at 40 as I was at 29! I cant wait for The Gwent League next week and especialy like the Cross Country!

It is because of good advice from peope such as yourself that things are going so well! I ran a 3.05km on Tuesday and feel that I have much better to come! I just have to keep developing my speed endurance.

I have trained myself to run negative splits now and its just how I run.

I am still trying to keep my feet on the ground, ignore other people and not set targets. Probably racing too much but I am really enjoying it especialy the Cross Country!

After I get the next couple of races out of the way I will start regular track work.

The runs you do on Sunday are a bit far for me at present. I like to run 10 miles at my own pace. Smile

I had forgotten how much fun long runs are in the company of others, the miles just whizz by! Thanks Mick for dragging me around at a much faster pace than I ever would have done on my own! Great company. I will probably be there next week but may be very weary after the Gwent league!!
