If anyone is going to the track tonight, due to another booking we can't start the session until 7pm - you can get there before and warm up on the path but not go on the track until 7pm. So if you can get there, warm up and be ready for a 7pm start that would be great.

Not going to make the track Tuesday night, went out earlier, for a easy recovery run, could feel my hamstring getting tighter, couple of day’s rest, stretching and a sports massage.

Thanks for reminding me, last night, how good it is to run with others. Really enjoyed it.

Thanks Mick for your guidance and Jenny for your metronomic pace to keep within striking distance of the leading pack. It highlighted the need for an economic pace to survive the full session but also confirmed my current fitness level. Sadly, I was unable to complete all the reps but my legs today confirm the effort made last night.

Great to see you at the track last night Mike. Thanks for the company, I really enjoyed the session, though I think any metronomic pacing was entirely thanks to you!

Enjoyed the masterclass on the track with Mick's group tonight. Good to be out after the snow of the weekend.

Couldn't manage all the 10 x 400m at 96 second pace but enjoyed the company.

Being at the back of the class was not a problem but I had a few moments of glory as 'Leader of the Pack' for 1 lap.

Failed the pace trial (93 sec) but will be back for more next week.

Thanks Mick and the group.

Great to see so many people on the track and hope the trend continues!

Track work makes a huge difference to your speed if you are consistent with it and it is well worth the effort!

Good to see so many on the track last night despite a counter attraction.

Thanks for the advice and explanation of 6-8 x 600m differentials, Mick/Phil.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, despite having to leave early.... no, not for the football.

An excellent preparation for a race strategy that we would like to incorporate in all our races.

Note: The Track will not be available for training/competitions from Monday, 16th July until early September.

Any alternative venue? Cardiff Met?

Thanks for that heads up, Mike. We'll try to discuss tomorrow, and let people know.
