WELSH MASTERS' LEAGUE 2019

University of Swansea, Singleton, Swansea, 24th April 2019

Events

19:00 800m 18:45 Hammer
19:20 200m 18:45 Discus (W+M60)
19:40 3000m 19:45 Shot (M35 + M50)
20:00 400m 19:45 Shot (M35 + M50)
20:30 4 x 100m 19:30 Triple Jump

Closing date for entry via British Masters' website is 16th April 2019

If you are interested in competing then there will be "no entry on the day" - see Tracey's posting.

Anyone know if Norman is still around for the challenge?

If you haven't run on the track/thrown/jumped recently then... be cautious.

Mike I am really keen to get involved and run at these Masters events but will give Swansea a miss as I have the Newport Marathon a week later. I will have a chat with you one Thursday night to find out more.

Eight members entered for various events at Swansea.

We've got a team for the men's relay - from
David Williams, Scott Browne, Mel James, Kieran McDonnell, Mike Murphy, Michael Davies.

Only two ladies
Eirian Arwyn and Claire Bruce. Maybe next time at Cardiff Met, 22nd May.

Just wondering if we can be environmentally friendly and lift share. I am in work until about 3 so can leave any time after 4. Happy to drive if needed.

Yep Claire.
We're likely to meet heavy traffic at most stages en route.
Can we meet at your house Claire? Access to the M4 will probably be easier.
I can leave at any time but we need to be there before 18:30.

Would you believe it?

Les Croupiers RC won the WM 4 x 100m relay last night. Team members Mel James, David Williams, Keiron McDonald and Scott Browne stormed home to a stunning victory.

A memorable night for Mel James, who was completing his first track 200m in the M75+ category. His reward was a first place in a time of of 34 seconds (unofficially).

There were SB also for Claire Bruce, Eirian Arwyn, Mel James, David Williams, Keiron Mc Donald, Scott Browne and Mike Davies.....

OK, I know it was the first meeting of the season...

Next meeting, Cardiff Met., 22nd May (Closing date for entry 14th May).

Hope to see you there.

Track - 400m, 1500m, 100m, 800m and 4 x 200m
Field - Javelin, Shot, HJ, LJ
