Morning All,

little bit of advice needed, over the last 3 weeks on any run i have undertaken, my heart rate has stayed between 141 and 147.
on sunday following a long run my heart rate was 164 max 191. i ran this route the week before ( slightly quicker) and it was 141 max 174

any ideas?

Hi Chris

I should make it clear that I'm not in any way medically qualified so don't attach too much weight to the following, except the last bit: If you have the sort of monitor which uses a sensor on a chest strap it's worth checking it's fitting securely enough to be giving reliable readings. If you are confident the readings are correct have a think about how you are feeling in general, tiredness, stress or overtraining could be an issue. If in any doubt though, it would be best to check with a doctor.

Hi Chris. I agree with Alan. I would find it very difficult to draw any conclusions from the information you've given.
