Yep, 1:34:44 i believe. Cheers Mike.

Although I am not sure this one actually counts as a PB as my only other HM was the FoD spring half which is off course a trail half.

However, I am pleased with the improvement but it is tinged with disappointment that I believe I could have gone a bit quicker with smarter pacing.. Ahh well, I am still learning this game!

Jeffrey Cox advised me before hand not to try and run the start at his pace as by his own admission, he starts "like a lunatic!" Discretion being the best part of valour I decided to instead try and keep pace with Sue Watson but dang, that didn't work for more than a few miles..that woman is quick! A thoroughly deserved podium position I believe for her.

Anyway, onward to SSAFA and an attempt to break the mystical (for me) sub 20 minutes followed by Fridays time trial and an attempt to break 6 minutes before a 3 week holiday in the sunshine with the family. I haven't told my wife I have entered 2 races in sunny Florida quite yet ;)

Well done Marcus. Thats a great time. One of my aims for this year is a sub 1:35 half so your time would do me nicely at the Severn Bridge half (was 28 secs out at Llanelli in March). See you Wednesday then.

What did you think of the Swansea course? On the map it looks OK until the last two miles or so, which is very twisty. Shame.

I thought exactly that. The last few miles are a bit twisty, though not as bad as I thought it would be. Overall I think they must have been constrained by the council about what they could use but I would do it again. I enjoyed it.
