Welsh distance running legend Steve Jones will be among the guest speakers at this year’s Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon runners’ seminar.

The former marathon world record holder and Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon ambassador will be sharing his expert advice on the eve of this year’s race at City Hall, Cardiff from 5pm on Saturday 4th October.

Joining Jones will be a host of leading figures past and present from the world of endurance running including; runBritain managing director Geoff Wightman, Welsh marathon record holder Susan Wightman, reigning Welsh half marathon champion Dewi Griffiths and several of the leader contenders for this year’s race.

The event is a rare opportunity for running enthusiasts of all abilities to hear the stories of some of Wales’ best endurance athletes and invaluable advice on subjects like pacing, nutrition, race-day strategies and training.

Entry to the 2014 Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon runners’ seminar is free and light refreshments will be provided. Simply email tim.lewis@welshathletics.org to confirm your place.

Attendees are asked to gather from 4.45pm at City Hall (room to be confirmed) with the runners’ seminar due to start at 5pm.
