I almost didn't run this today as I have just got over a chest cold but Im glad I did! James Bruce was kind enough to give me a throw away shirt at the start ThumpUp.

Its a nice route and there were people lining the road all the way cheering us on. There were also Croups marshalling and giving support all the way too.Like Mr Richard Self (appreciated the pep talk Rich) with his loud speaker warning about the bend, and plenty of marshals at hazards like speed bumps, keeping runners (who weren't wearing headphones) aware of the dangers.

It took me a while to lose that guy wearing a mankini and brummy wig, fair play to him as his cardio was as good as his sense of humour!

And well done to MR Tulp on a great race! What can I say I'm going to improve no end if he keeps setting me these targets to go for every other week!

It just goes to show how many benefits there are to being in this great club! You definitely get extra support and not just from the roadside! I didn't get the PB I wanted but its still the 2nd best time I have ran so im very pleased with it. Well done to everyone that make this event so special that I am filled with dread at the prospect of missing it! ThumpUp

Great race and great support all round! Many thanks to all the volunteers and organisers on a great event!
I always love the OAPs on Lake Rd East!

Luckily the stars aligned for me today, congrats to all the others who achieved their targets!

Thats a big compliment coming from you mate!

I could see the dissatisfaction on your face today when you crossed the line. I think we have all had races where we felt like that!

You will come back stronger for the next one, no doubt about it! ThumpUp

Well done to all.

Looking at the results there are NINE variations of the club's name! I was expecting three. So loading the results on our results database is going to take some time!

If you're missed off, please let me know. Remember that only paid up members will be added. Thanks.

Well Done Lyndon thats the second race in row you've come storming past me in the last 1/2 mile pretty good considering your recent cold

Well done to Nick you smashed that 80 minute barrier by quite a bit in the end and you beat your target man of Martin Williams who also had a very good race sub 80 again, didn't see you at all after about 2miles

I was very pleased with another PB this year over 4 minutes quicker.

thanks to all those from the club that helped out and supported cheering our names as we went past, it really has become a top 1/2 marathon.

Can I echo previous comments in thanking organisers, marshalls and supporters. I apologise for my inability to recognise most people who gave me a cheer however don't let that put you off!

Quite happy with my performance today of 88 minutes, I was hoping for a PB, but it is my 2nd fastest half so I can't complain. My body felt great throughout but I felt my feet were quite blistered after 9 miles and I just could not push any harder because of that, but like I said I am still happy with my time.

Also great organisation today and the spectator support was fantastic too. This event seems to go from strength to strength in my opinion, what would put the icing on the cake would be to finish the race with a lap of the Millenium Stadium but that is just a very minor point to what is great event, I think when they host the 2016 World Half Marathon, it will be very special indeed, definitely booking my place early for that one.

It was a bit strange without Mick McGeogh running though, and you too Aine.

Just though I should point out that im down as a senior male in the results. I'm 37 so I think it should be v35 category. Kept meaning to mention this but I think I like still being called a senior. Smile

I was very encouraged by the organisation and support that has gone in to the event. I certainly enjoyed the experience and even managed to finish the event this year without injury. Thanks everyone for your support.
