Usual run up the Coq Noir. Hoping we will be closer to our usual number this week. An ideal chance to get your training done early, then sit back in front of the box and watch Aine Kenny at Big Apple!

I am going to see how things go. I have a sore throat which started yesterday but has been getting a bit worse throughout today. I am not sure if I am going to make it tomorrow, but I am going to see how I feel first in the morning before making a decision.

Gutted! I will be having to do the lonely 17 mile run in the dark on my lonesome again.

Another enjoyable run this morning, perfect temperature, and a couple of downpours didn't dampen the spirits. Great to meet and run with Katy Benson, which just made me wish I was 27 again.

It was an absolute pleasure to run with you all too! You guys are seriously inspiring. Always nice to meet people who share my particular brand of insanity (running double digit distances in the pouring rain on a Sunday morn anyone?) too! Look forward to the next one :-)

You know your stuff about training too, Katy e.g. the Lydiard principle of training! Seems like the Lore of Running book by Tim Noakes, where you read about it, is well recognised as a bit of a 'bible' for marathon/ultra running.
